COMPLETE soil layers go isothermal at 0° at melting of first snow layer
This issue was reported by Walter Steinkogler.
Just updated SNP to 20130221.387
initialised with soil layers at +1°C. already after a few timesteps all soil layers (14) are set to isothermal at 0°C. it seems this occurs when the snow (10cm, ~4layers) are warmed to 0°C. thetaW=0.
Technically it of course makes sense that soil layers with (cold) thetaW>0 are set to 0°C but this should not be the case for the complete soil instanteneous.
I attached .pro file with a short run where this problem can be seen in the soil temperature at 30.11.12 10:00
This is a significant problem when calculating with soil layers since it affects the overlying snow layers and furthermore makes permafrost calculations impossible!
