This python code uses the Finite Element library FENICS (via docker) to solve the one dimensional partial differential equations for heat and mass transfer in snow. The results are written in vtk format from which the paper figure is reproduced.

This plugin takes various feature classes from the Federal Register of Buildings and Dwellings (RBD) data, produced by the Swiss Federal Statistical Office (FSO), and data from the Topografischen Landschaftsmodells (TLM) dataset called "SwissTLM3D", produced by swisstopo, to calculate a final "Settlement" polygon layer.
