No snow simulated although snow measurements are provided
This issue was reported by Veronika Hatvan.
Hi, for some reason SNOWPACK does not simulate snow although I provide snow measurements as input (via .smet) and enforce_measured_snow_heights = true. I write out the forcing data (can be found in simulation_2018_19/output_old/VEIT2/VEIT2_MESS_forcing.smet) and there the HS data is still available and correct. However no snow is simulated by the model (check out /output_old/VEIT2.pro and /output_old/VEIT2.smet (see HS_meas, only the first 4 entries show values)). I write .sno files every day and HS_LAST is always 0.000. However CanopyHeight changes and always fits the value of the according time step in *forcing.smet file. CANOPY is set to false. It seems like the model interprets the HS data as canopy? I have no explanation for that, it never happend before. I tried a simulation for another period at the same station. Same settings, same procedure, no problem (see result simulation_2019_20). I tried with DETECT_GRASS false and true, nothing changed. I run snowpack 3.50 with MeteoIO 2.81 on Ubuntu 18.04.4
Steps to reproduce the problem: 1.Change into folder ""simulation_2018_19"" and run SNOWPACK with provided VEIT2.ini in ./ini/VEIT2/ snowpack -m operational -c ./ini/VEIT2/VEIT2.ini -e 2019-12-30T00:00:00
2.Check out output in ""./output/VEIT2/"" folder (my original output is available in ""simulation_2018_19/output_old/""
Expected result: Completed Snowpack simulation with snow heights up to approx 90cm. (see MeasuredSnowHeight_VEIT_2018.png) - quick plot of snow height measurements (in cm) at VEIT.
Actual result: Completed Snowpack simulation, no snow simulated. No error occurred.
