First version of the new COSMO (in fact, FieldExtract) plugin. It currently only reads data from one single file that is provided as argument, but this file can contain all the stations and all the time steps. This plugin only relies on libxml2.

Pushed documentation version number, more robust file globing for the libraries, more standard uppercase/lowecase conversion and the extra parameters in SMET are now forced to uppercase (so all parameters are uppercase when they come out of the plugins).

A Fit1D object is now created by specifying which regression model to use through an enum. Assignment operators as well as copy constructors have also been implemented (and tested). The config.dox file has been updated by doxygen to match more recent doxygen versions and syntax.

A (more) intelligent handling of buffered grids has been implemented: the grids are stored in the equivalent of a circular buffer of a given size (user defined, or 10 by default). This prevents running out of memory when processing large numbers of grids! A method for computing quantiles has been implemented in libinterpol1D. A vector of data has to be provided as well as a vector of the desired quantiles (ex: 0.25, 0.5, 0.75) and a vector of values for these quantiles will be returned. So far, the algorithm that is used produces the same results as R in default operations. The possibility of choosing which quantiles algorithms might be added in the future. The getJulianDayNumber method was just totally wrong... This has been fixed. One can also force a GMT day of year with a flag. Finally, some documentation has been written/updated.

The CMakeLists should be a little bit cleaner. But the Windows installer still does not work (it does not find the dll files).

A new group of classes has been created, under the meteolaws subdirectory. This contains various general meteorological laws, such as a sun radiation model, standard atmosphere, etc The first implementation (not tested yet) of a non-linear least square fit algorithm has been implemented in the libfit1D. Several documentation issues have been fixed (obsolete code examples, etc) and classes grouped by modules. This should help the user to quickly locate the classes of interest.

Several bugs have been fixed in Coords: the setEPSG was not working, the altitude was not displayed with the << operator and the formatting of decimal_to_dms was broken in its handling of seconds... The documentation for the resampling has been expanded and several other modules' documentation have been updated so their structure is built along the same lines. An error message in IOHandler (when failing to load a plugin) was not clear and has been changed. Several bugs in SMEIO have been fixed (improper column names mapping, improper handling of easting/northing, unclear error message). The example data set has been tagged as GMT+1 and the meteo_reading and 2D_interpolations modified accordingly (so the argument read on the command line is assumed to be in GMT+1 too)

The plugins will be installed in the subdirectory $CMAKE_INSTALL_DIR/lib/meteoio/plugins

A few typos have been fixed in the documentation, the welcome page has been restructured and a naming conflict (GRID_POINT for both 2D and 3D grids) has been temporarily avoided by calling these structures GRID_POINT_2/3D. This still leaves the question of how to handle DEMObject with 3D grid open though...

A small but irrtating bug in the Makefile has been fixed (failure to install when the parallel version had not yet been compiled). The doxygen documentation has been updated with the documentation of the plugins (from a user point of view). The data assimilation reading methods have been slightly tweaked (so that they read a time stamp containing minutes and not only hours).

Tow methods for getting the min and the max value out of a matrix have been added to Array, Array2D and Array3D. The updateAllMinMax of DEMBoject has been updated to rely on that instead of doing it by itself. The doxygen comments of DEMObject have been fixed and the config.dox (doxygen configuration file) has been fixed (it was not processing .cc files). A new (private) methods has been added to DEMObject: safeGet(i,j) that returns a grid value for any (i,j) (so nodata if outside of the grid). This could be the right strategy for correctly computing slope/curvature on the dem even in the case of "holes" in the dem... (to be continued...)
