Hence, for the end user it offers a graphical user interface for provided modeling software which is tailored to rapid development and therefore hopefully never outdated. For the developer on the other hand, it offers the possibility to very easily set up a GUI for their application and keep it synchronized with the evolving models. Deploying a new feature in the GUI is then as easy as editing an XML text file and shipping this updated version to the user. • @bavay There is also a - deactivated - button in the help menu to "show paper...". I don't know if it's better to link to it online or ship the paper with INIshell (I would prefer this intuitively because INIshell is documented so extensively in the code and through the help system it would then really be a complete package) -- but you two should decide and I'm leaving you the honor to call QDesktopServices on either version and activate the menu. ;-) Thanks for the relentless work!

(After writing this I see that the latter is already semi-implemented: https://gitlabext.wsl.ch/snow-models/inishell/-/blob/master/src/gui/HelpWindow.cc#L137 )

  • I've enabled a link to GMD for the paper, it is now visible
